Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Essential fats (EPA/DHA) with anti-inflammatory properties supporting cardiovascular and brain health.

Omega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fats that the body cannot synthesize and must obtain from diet or supplements. The three main types are EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) from marine sources, and ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) from plant sources. EPA and DHA have well-documented anti-inflammatory effects, reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines and prostaglandins. They support cardiovascular health, brain function, and may benefit inflammatory skin and hair conditions. Conversion of ALA to EPA and DHA is extremely inefficient (<5%), making marine-sourced supplements preferred.
