About

An extract from unroasted coffee beans rich in chlorogenic acid. Early meta-analyses suggested potential for weight support, but the pivotal study was retracted, and remaining evidence is of poor methodological quality. High-quality evidence for weight management remains lacking.

How It Works

Chlorogenic acid (CGA) inhibits glucose-6-phosphatase, reducing hepatic glucose output and improving glucose metabolism. Also inhibits pancreatic lipase, reducing dietary fat absorption, and modulates adiponectin and leptin levels. CGA content is highest in unroasted beans (5-12% vs. 1-2% in roasted coffee).
