About

A phenolic compound found in trace amounts in raspberries. Despite massive consumer popularity, no published human clinical trials exist. All evidence comes from in vitro and rodent studies at concentrations far exceeding achievable human levels. Not recommended — included for consumer education.

How It Works

Structurally similar to synephrine and capsaicin. In vitro and rodent studies suggest RK increases norepinephrine-induced lipolysis and adiponectin secretion in adipocytes, and upregulates fatty acid oxidation enzymes. However, in vitro effective concentrations (10-100 µM) far exceed achievable human plasma concentrations from oral supplementation.
