And the single Grade C rating recorded here should be read as a description of the field rather than as a recommendation: iron is graded because depletion is common and consequential in this population, not because supplementation has been shown to alter weight. Risk concentrates in women, in adults over 60, in those with autoimmune disease or a family history, and after radiation exposure to the neck.
