About

Medium-chain triglycerides derived primarily from coconut oil that bypass normal fat digestion and are rapidly oxidized in the liver. Meta-analyses demonstrate MCT oil may support energy expenditure, satiety, and modest reductions in body weight and body fat when substituted for long-chain dietary fats.

How It Works

Medium-chain fatty acids (6-12 carbons) bypass normal fat digestion and are transported directly to the liver via the portal vein, where they undergo rapid beta-oxidation or ketogenesis. This increases diet-induced thermogenesis (DIT) by approximately 5% and promotes satiety through ketone body production and CCK release.
