The limiting factors during weight loss are mostly non-pharmacological in any case: caloric restriction itself, dehydration, insufficient protein, iron deficiency, overtraining, poor sleep, and environmental heat or altitude. Iron in particular should not be supplemented without measured status, since iron overload is a genuine risk in people who are already replete, and caffeine tolerance, cardiovascular status, and sleep timing all constrain its useful dose.
